Hi all,
The University of Helsinki is now accepting applications for up to 10 postdoctoral positions across all scientific disciplines in the Faculty of Science[1], and I’m writing to encourage applications from young geoscientists. Funding is for 2+1 years with gross salaries of 3154-4020€ per month. The application for the first phase of review is simple, comprising a short description (up to 150 words) of a research plan, a one-page CV focusing mostly on academic merits, a publication list, and two reference letters. Detailed information about the positions and application procedure can be found on the University of Helsinki’s website[2].
When applying, applicants should include the name of the collaborating professor or host research group in the Faculty of Science. You can find more information about relevant potential host institutions, including the Department of Geosciences and Geography[3], Institute of Seismology[4], or Department of Physics[5], on their webpages.
Please circulate this message to any interested potential applicants. If you have any questions, feel free to send them to me ([log in to unmask]) or to Institute of Seismology research director Pekka Heikkinen ([log in to unmask]).
Best,
Dave Whipp
