GRADE Instruction Available at “Teaching Evidence Assimilation for Collaborative Healthcare (TEACH)”

The annual TEACH conference of the New York Academy of Medicine offers an intensive 3 day workshop experience in the use of the GRADE framework for clinical guideline development.
Topics to be Covered:
• How to formulate guideline questions around patient important outcomes
• How to reformat evidence from a systematic review to conform to GRADE specifications
• How to evaluate the quality of the evidence using GRADE
• How to use GRADE and GRADEpro (software) to create Evidence Profiles
• How to use GRADE to move from evidence to recommendations

TEACH is unique in offering a multidisciplinary learning environment that encompasses domains essential for routine delivery of evidence-based care. The 3-day conference is centered in small group learning and features outstanding speakers and facilitators in evidence-based clinical practice (EBCP). The GRADE course constitutes a special group within the Level 2 focus on evidence-based policies and guidelines. Other TEACH tracks address basic EBCP skills (Level 1) and system level evidence-based practice/knowledge translation (Level 3).
