V&A/RCA History of Design seeks to appoint two positions: Head of Programme (V&A) and Tutor in Global Design History (V&A/RCA).
V&A/RCA History of Design offers the opportunity to study design and material culture in all its aspects, from the early fifteenth century to the present day, across global geographies. The two-year, full-time MA programme and MPhil and PhD research degrees are jointly offered by two world-leading centres for scholarship and creativity: the Royal College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum, both based in London. We employ historical research methods with an emphasis on artefact analysis, in an experimental, public-facing, practice-based environment.
