Related to this thread, I often find that Assay Finder doesn't find all the labs I know to be offering a test. Is this because people are struggling to keep up with managing their entries or the internal processes at Assay Finder don't keep pace with the changes people want to make? I was under the impression that you locally edit your own entries ( username and password + authorization required) but I have been told that new entries need to be approved and his can be a long time coming.
As Angela says, it's a really useful resource that can influence what you may continue to offer and what else in your repertoire you may focus on instead. We can't all choose to "advertise" in the ACB News.

Dear all,
I was at the National Audit meeting yesterday, where the results of the ‘national audit of the laboratory analyses for poisoned patients’ were presented. According to this, there are still (at least) 18 labs that offer urine paraquat, while a lot have dropped it from their repertoire for various reasons.
However, I had a look on Assay Finder and nothing came up (searched for “paraq”).
Can I encourage all labs that still offer the test to please advertise on Assay Finder, so that the ones not offering it can have a back-up if a sample ever turns up with a request?
PS: we’d like to drop it as well from our repertoire, so if any of the 18 is within a 100 mile radius, I’d be grateful if you let me know for the above reason.
Thanks ☺
Angela
