The above is the current topic being blogged about on the Hitchcock Scholars/'MacGuffin' site, but all of the posts there since February 6th have come from my present research on matters related to 'growing up' (or not) in Hitchcock's features and TV shows (where, even when Hitchcock didn't direct, there's arguably a 'brand' content, as noted by Jan Olsson and others). Michael Williams's stimulating 2003 book on Ivor Novello for the BFI has also been very useful in linking THE LODGER to SPELLBOUND.
