Hello to all -- It seems I recall a discussion of skull juvenilization on
this list a couple of years ago. What I'm referring to is the belief that
skulls of domestic animals are juvenilized compared to their closest wild
relatives, i.e. shorter-snouted, smaller skull crests, relatively larger
orbits, etc. I remember Melinda Zeder mentioning a paper she had done that
refutes this idea.
Would anyone familiar with this subject be willing to jog my memory a bit,
and also point up some good papers, pro and con?
