medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Sepúlveda is said here (fourth paragraph from the bottom) to have taken the maxim from Aquinas (_Sum. Th._ II-II, 40, 2 (3)):

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Colleagues:
I am looking for the source of a maxim:
Juan Ginés Sepúlveda says in _Democrates alter_:
Nam qui jure finem petit, is eodem jure adhibet omnia quae pertinent ad finem.
Obviously a version of "The end justifies the means". It is most
likely a juridical maxim (and definitely before the infamous Jesuit
motto).
Couldn't find a source - can anyone help?
Thanks!
Richard Blum
