through our 'patterns of thought', i.e. expertise in artifact development,
ought to be based upon FACTUAL description, EVIDENCED explanation, and
REALISTIC predictions. All three aiming at ensuring that the artifacts we
develop are safe, firstly, and secondarily they procure more advantages
than disadvantages in use.
All the rest, not aiming at learning and improving our performance in these
three tasks above, is just pure enjoyment of the mind...! Which is all
right if affordable and somehow fulfilling to the individual mind.
