Hi Fiona
The system I have used in the past is to check their photo on the MIS system. We would send these learner's either to reception, or if we aren't busy check ourselves. Print out a copy and give learners to present to the invigilator in charge of their allocated room.

Subject: People Present in the Exam Room
Hi,
I'd welcome anyone's thoughts on the change to the JCQ Notice to Centres 'The people present in the exam room'.
We have cohort sizes that require seating in mutiple rooms so have always relied on subject teachers to assist with the identification of any students (and there are always some!) who forget their college ID. This has worked extremely well, teachers have known exactly what their role is and we've had no incidents of them over stepping the mark so I can't understand why the regs have now been changed. In a centre with over 3000 students there is no way that SMT would be able to know even a fraction of the students well enough to confirm identification (similarly the 2 Exams staff!). Does anyone have any suggestions as I have to confess I'm stumped!!
Thanks in anticipation.
