TEACH 2016, August 3-5, 2016, New York Academy of Medicine
Registration Opens February 15
The New York Academy of Medicine will again offer an intensive 3 day integrated workshop experience in its “Teaching Evidence Assimilation for Collaborative Healthcare (TEACH)” series. Now in its 8th year, TEACH is unique in offering a multidisciplinary learning environment that encompasses domains essential for delivery of evidence-based care on a routine basis.
The 3-day conference features outstanding speakers facilitators on leading issues in evidence-based clinical practice (EBCP) as well as intensive workshop tracks in basic EBCP skills (Level 1), policies and guidelines (Level 2) and system level implementation/knowledge translation (Level 3). Level 1 is ideal for anyone who desires grounding in the essential EBCP skill set, irrespective of their role in the healthcare system. Level 2 explores aspects of developing, evaluating and adapting clinical policies and guidelines within specific healthcare settings. One Level 2 group, led by an experienced member of the GRADE Working Group, will focus substantially but not exclusively on the use of the GRADE system for evidence synthesis for practice guideline development. Level 3 address issues of evidence-based quality improvement and implementation including use of computerized decision support to facilitate use of guidelines and clinical policies.
TEACH is open to individuals and to multidisciplinary teams from healthcare provider organizations. All disciplines are welcome including medical staff, nursing, administration, librarians, social workers, care managers, coordinators and health professionals in training. A small group learning environment is led by multidisciplinary teams of facilitators and is supplemented by plenary sessions that draw from the full content of the workshop. Facilitators and plenary speakers include internationally recognized experts in all of the TEACH domains.
Registration fee: $1100. Primary health professionals in training receive discounts. Institutional delegations may be eligible for group rate discounts (contact [log in to unmask]).
