We are seeking a HCPC registered clinical scientist or individual eligible for registration to join our department in providing a high quality clinical biochemistry service. Our department is based at Bristol Royal Infirmary situated in the city centre and comprises of an integrated blood sciences automated laboratory with Immunochemistry and Metabolic, Neuroendocrine and Nutrition specialist sections. We provide a wide range of biochemical services for our Trust and primary care as well as a regional and national service to external users for specialist assays.
The successful candidate will participate in the Duty Biochemist rota for the interpretation and reporting of routine clinical biochemistry results in both Adults and Paediatrics. There will be opportunities to develop specialist expertise in one or more of the specialist sections and contribute to the department’s audit, quality improvement, development, research and teaching programmes.
The post offers excellent training and career development opportunities and you will be a key member of the clinical biochemistry team. Full support for completion of FRCPath will be provided. STP trainees approaching registration are encouraged to apply.
