Thank you Amy, the Evidence Live event in April this year was "cathartic" for me: seeing and hearing all the great and the good working towards medical science addressing human issues rather than mathematical issues.
However, lobbying for profit remains powerful. I am worried to read that (probably following the money from vaccines (and vaccine side-effects seem totally ignored https://twitter.com/wouterhavinga/status/673251004947763201 ) get ready for the drugs to prevent diseases : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-35008921
Luckily there is "Professor Carl Heneghan from the Oxford University Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, says the focus with disease prevention should be on issues such as physical activity, smoking and diet. What we have to do is look at clear lifestyle risk factors. The future of healthcare is a healthier lifestyle."
As such I can recommend http://evidencelive.org
