Hi Caroline,
If you get anyone answering how to do this, I would love to hear! We used to pay fines from the ID card on our old LMS, and since moving to Sierra, we no longer have this ability. From the discussions we have had, SIP2 is not configured to use the correct messages so will not work. We have been told the Fines API may be the answer. So if anyone out there in III land can give info on implementing this, I too would be most appreciative of how to set it up.
Thanks
Curwen

Subject: Fines payment and self check machines
Dear all
We don’t currently offer fines payment at our self-check machines and I have been looking at it briefly and it seems that the SIP2 interface (which is what we currently use) doesn’t necessarily support fines payment.
We do have the fines payment web service (not implemented) so I was wondering whether anyone is using this.
We currently have 3M machines although we have an RFID project looming and so this may change.
Would any of you be willing to share what you use?
Do any of you use SIP2 and the fines payment web service?
If not how do you do it?
Thanks for your help.
All the best,
Caroline.
