Dear all,
I want to thank you for your interesting advices. It'll be really helpful for my work.
M. Jones, what I intend to do with my photographs is to trace the geology directly in 3D space and then correlate it with the surrounding borehole data creating surfaces to start building my 3D geological model. I already went on the field to collect structural data so there's no need to get more; However, if I create 3D models of pit walls with my photographs and It allows me to measure more structural fabrics, I'll do it but this is not what I intend to do.
Finally, I think I’ll go with the photogrammetry method. It seems to be the best way to import 3D images without too much distortion and inaccuracy in geomodelling software.
Thank you all again for your participation to this discussion, it’s great to see that there are a lot of people willing to help.
Best regards,
