Since Dave's advertised Newcastle's advertised job in sociolinguistics here, I should be fair and advertise the other one too ... We are also recruiting a Teaching Fellow in Syntax. Both these Teaching Fellowships are one-year jobs, September 2015 - July 2016,
AND THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR BOTH IS 18 AUGUST.
Dave has posted the ad for the Teaching Fellowship in LVC. I don't have a text for the Syntax job, but you can find it through our vacancies site:
http://www.ncl.ac.uk/vacancies/
Click on 'Search and Apply', then search in the database for the jobs. Searching for 'variation' and 'syntax' respectively brings up only the relevant job in each case.
I _am_ at Newcastle, but I don't have anything to do with either of these jobs either, I'm afraid. I could give very general context, but for specifics it would be best to contact the person named in the ad you're interested in.
Good luck!

I've been asked to circulate this as it's been advertised with a tight turnaround:

I'm nothing to do with the job (or the university!) though, so please see the link for contact info etc.
