Dear Collegues,
The Schöningen archaeological site (Lower Saxony, Germany), located 300.000 years ago in a paleolake shore, has received much attention over the past 20 years for the remarkable discovery of eight well-preserved wooded spears in association with a large assemblage of Middle Pleistocene fauna remains, including a small sample of fish bones.
Since, MONREPOS Archaeological Research Centre and Museum for Human Behavioural Evolution-RGZM (Neuwied, Germany), we are looking for a specialist interested in the taxonomical analysis of Schöningen 13II-4 layer fish remains. This collaboration should include remain identification through a reduce number of sieved samples.
