We are looking for a leading subject expert in youth studies, youth justice or youth work to join a large team as it expands and develops. As a member of the Sociology Division's Leadership Group, the post holder will help to set the direction of the research and teaching agenda across youth studies, youth justice, sociology and criminology. The post holder will lead the staff team to expand the student academic experience and take the lead on raising the quality of research and scholarship in youth studies.

The successful applicant will be an active member of a thriving research community, deliver core teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in youth studies and youth justice and help shape future provision. NTU welcome applications from academics with expertise in any aspects of youth theory, policy and practice. NTU plans include developing postgraduate professional qualifications, so applicants must demonstrate that they have achieved the JNC qualification in Youth Work. In addition, it would be highly desirable for candidates to demonstrate experience in careers guidance teaching and learning.
