Hi Keith,
I will assume that your question is a sincere enquiry.
In short, no it doesn't mean that. I don't have the time to write a long text on drawing and, as I mention in another post, it is impossible to avoid misunderstandings about drawing when attempting to use only words (and before you ask, no I don't have the time or inclination to start making drawings for you!). Many kinds of drawing can exhibit critical thinking, and many kinds of drawing can be devoid of critical thinking. Unfortunately the term 'realistic' can mean different things to different people but here I take Carlos's use of the word to mean facile surface rendering from photographic source material, as distinct from e.g. formal measured 'academic' drawing from observation.
Best regards,
Martin

Dear Martin,
Does that mean realistic renderings are not examples of critical thinking? And, does that mean that non realistic renderings are always examples of critical thinking?
Cheers
Keith
