Dear colleagues,
You are invited to attend an open seminar hosted by UNU RCE Severn at the University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham.
Jamie Agombar, Head of Sustainability for the National Union of Students (NUS) will be sharing experiences, lessons learned and developments of the pilot for the new Responsible Futures Accreditation Scheme being run by the NUS. The vision for Responsible Futures is of a desirable, externally assessed accreditation mark for a whole-institution approach to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, spanning from the formal and informal curriculum, applicable to both further an higher education
Jamie has over ten years experience working for the NUS, during this time he has created a strong student voice on sustainability, and a compelling vision for the sector. NUS is regarded as a strong agent for change on sustainability, with Jamie sitting on many key UK higher education sector committees. In February 2014 Jamie won the Guardian University Award for Inspiring Leadership for work on sustainability.
