Dear All,
I enjoyed Terryıs account of examples and I enjoyed Kenıs account of
examples.
Can we have ³telling examples² (or informing) where the tale told has
features of vitality that relate to a real world context
And
³instructive² examples where the purpose of the example is to abstract so
that the vitality is minimised but the relationships become more obvious -
hence ³in-struct² - to evidence structure?
Of course we could add examples as ³instruments² where the structural
features are now useful directly as in the case of medical instruments
where the structure of the relationships between the aims of the surgeon
and the material matter of the body meet up.
And, we can have silly examples where we all have a good laugh because
there is a disjunction made obvious.
Cheers
keith
