Hi Rob,
(I've copied this to the Starlink_users list as well in case anyone on
that list can help.)
X11 2.7.7 is the same version of XQuartz we used to build the release. I
just checked on a different Yosemite machine (which didn't build the
released version) and I can definitely open up Gaia from both bash and
tcsh tehre.
Are other X11 apps working for you? Is it possible your computer has any
old versions of X11 on it anywhere?
Do you have anything setting $DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH or similar in your path?
Is there anyway this could be picking up a different X11 install or
similar libraries?
I've not come across this issue before, and I can't find anything on
google that isn't from several years ago. What I can see just seems to
suggest issues with fonts (per the X_Openfont line in the errorr
message). I don't see how those would be missing in an up-to-date
Yosemite/XQuartz install though.
Thanks,
Sarah Graves
