Dear PhD candidates and colleagues
As I served as Preliminary Evaluator and an Opponent for Asta's Oral Examination I urge all to read the dissertation she has made freely available online in its entirety at the site listed below. She has done an exceptional job of reviewing and interpreting a broad range of the literature on the subject and arguing for the significance of intuition and its place in the research, education, and practice of design. It is a pioneering work that has laid the foundation for further research and practical application of "intentional intuition” in design education and practice. Her balanced commitment to intelligent inquiry and thoughtful exploration is particularly admirable because it is so often lacking today. Her work is also a strong indicator of a growing interest in understanding the subconscious aspects of design thinking such as intuition, imagination, insight, and creativity that have long been considered inaccessible. If you share this interest my paper on Intuition, Imagination and Insight at www.independent.academia.edu <http://www.independent.academia.edu/>/charlesburnette might also be useful.
I hope Asta weill post the excellent summaries of theory and coaching intuition she has written on academia.edu <http://academia.edu/> or some other public repository. Unlike abstracts which point out what will be covered, such summaries distill what was done and learned. I believe all PhD candidates should write concise summaries to convey the knowledge they develop. This would help communicate what is significant in the field in a way that is useful for building support and getting grant funding to further develop the work.
Or, so I believe,
Chuck

Therefore, I want to share with you my studies where I handle designer's varying intuitive experiences, intuition development from pedagogical point of view, as well as reliability and accuracy of intuition.
