This is an advertisement for a short course specifically aimed at early
career scientists considering to apply for an ERC Starting Grant
(http://erc.europa.eu/starting-grants ):
At the upcoming EGU General Assembly, we will be organising a short
course with insider tips for ERC Starting Grant proposal writing. The
course is organised in close collaboration with ERC members and past
starting
grant winners, who will share their experiences in the ERC programme,
propsal writing, interviewing and reviewing.

* Experiences from past ERC starting grant winners:
• Boris Kaus from the University of Mainz, Germany, winner of an ERC
starting grant in 2010 for "Mechanics Of Deformation of the Earth’s
Lithosphere (MODEL)"
• Andre Niemeijer from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands,
winner of an ERC starting grant in 2013 for "Slip and Earthquake
Nucleation in Experimental and Numerical Simulations (SEISMIC)"
