Hello,
Disney has created an automated method of selecting sequences of images to
provide narrative.

What implications does this and similar developments have for design
practice in the future.
Perhaps more importantly, what implications does this have immediately for
design education and PhD research projects currently being undertaken or
established.
This is early days but developments in these areas move fast.
Another research project further down the page refers to research
identifying computer assessment of personality is better than friends and
family. This has implications in terms of understanding users and their
behaviours and preferences.
See,

Again this leads to hard questions. What are the implications for design
practices, design education and design research? How fast do these parts of
the design field have to change to avoid being left behind or overtaken by
other fields poaching into design business?
Best wishes,
Terry
