Dear All,
once again, we would like to invite you to submit an abstract to our EGU
session:
3D digital geological models from terrestrial outcrops to planetary
surfaces (TS8.6/PS9.6).
http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2015/session/17925
Modern remote sensing methods like photogrammetry and photoclinometry,
LIDAR, laser altimetry, etc., allow the quantitative characterization of
outcrops and geomorphological features, offering new opportunities to
model geological structures in 3D. These techniques have been
successfully applied, at different scales, to outcrops on the Earth's
surface, terrestrial planets, satellites and minor bodies in the Solar
System. We solicit contributions to this session on remote sensing
technologies, geological interpretation and structural modelling
strategies, and 3D studies carried out on terrestrial and
extraterrestrial structures, aiming at bringing together experiences
from different science communities.
Abstract submission is open until 07 January 2015.
Thank you for considering this session and we are looking forward to
seeing you in Vienna!
