Hi Lubomir,
Evidence that can be used/applied in different situations is most desirable and needed. Buchanan (2001) argued that the central challenge in design research is to generate knowledge that allows designers moving to other fields of productive work. So, resulting design principles and methods that lead to effective products and systems are applicable to different design fields. This may be seen utopian but it is a useful concept to develop a integral design research methodology framework.
