Wow - that sounds a mega thing to keep up to date!
We are taking an alternative approach and requiring the information to be recorded in the eILP and hence shared with the student. The idea is that this will link what is happening in the "classroom" over a period of time with the support provided and an analysis of how successful it is. The electronic nature of the document also means that we can audit them on a regular basis and obtain an up to date picture when the Inspector calls. Whether it is in sufficient detail only time will tell. Oh, and the best bit? Exams no longer have the responsibility to maintain the records on our MIS department - it has gone to where it should always have been in our Study Plus department!

Duncan

Our form is 4 pages long and our learning support team are having problems getting responses!
Lecturers have not yet engaged in realising their role in providing evidence. Despite lots of easy tick boxes on the form, they see it as a further 'admin burden' without realising the consequence on the student/success rates/inspection
I fear this is just the start......!

Subject: Collating NWOW info for access arrangements
Hi all
Following the extra information needed in Section A of the new Form 8, and to try and prompt lecturing staff to give us more evidence of a student's normal way of working, our Learning Support team have brought in an extra document for tutors/lecturers to complete when requesting access arrangements for their student.
The lecturer is asked to fill in this double sided NWOW sheet which includes tick boxes and asks for confirmation of provision in class, then either a request for assessment at college with our Learning Support team, or if the student has current and complete evidence then a form to request the arrangements.
We previously had one form to request access arrangements which had a box for NWOW but teaching staff were often unsure what they needed to say to evidence NWOW.
We're concerned that we're now asking for too much (and frequently having to go back to teaching staff as the forms are incomplete!)
Please could you let me know how you collate NWOW in your centre, and attach the documents if possible? This would be really helpful to see, thanks very much.
