Dear All
One of our Respiratory Consultants has requested pepsin analysis in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (see references below). There is a research laboratory in Newcastle who can analyse the current samples for us (and who have analysed a sample for us in the past). However, the consultant in question believes that there will be more samples in the future as this is being pushed as a more sensitive and specific marker than lipid laden macrophages. Is there an accredited laboratory who can perform this assay (nothing on assay finder)? Does anyone have any experience of having this test requested?

Many thanks for any help
