Dear Professor young,
Do you have data to show that 10 ug daily supplement will ensure adequate status (is this meant to be serum vitamin D level >75 nmol/L)?
Do you have views on weekly or even monthly vitamin D supplements?

Routine supplementation is
definitely better than measuring vitamin D levels for at
risk groups. 10ug (400u) per day is sufficient in adults
for routine supplementation
and will ensure adequate status.
The amount of sunlight exposure
required to achieve these levels in the summer months is
surprisingly little in the UK. 15-20 minutes between
11AM-3PM is enough
in the summer months for lighter skinned people.....
