Dear All,
I'm currently co-authoring a paper which critically looks at "socially engaged" design. One of the arguments we are making is that because such work is trending within academia, we are seeing many instances of "social washing", and not true social impact.
Though we have found several articles and chapters that use the term, we have not been able to find its origin.
Perhaps someone on this list may be able to point us in the right direction? Thank you, in advance!
Warm regards,
Cynthia
