Dear all
My thanks to Ken for publishing the Irish LMS announcement and for pointing out to me (on Twitter) that the award notice contains a link to the specification. Having been asked on a number of occasions for a copy I can now let people know where to find one that's publicly available.
In this spirit of openness I have also made available the spreadsheet I created to help the evaluation teams do their work. All of this is available on a new blog I have created (to avoid cluttering up the RFID blog) at http://www.mickfortune.com/NottheRFIDBlog/?p=11. I hope it might be of some help to anyone seeking to create a national library system specification elsewhere.
It will be interesting to see how the project develops. Certainly Innovative's decision to base a new team of 25 personnel in Dublin during the bid process appears to have been a very good one.
Mick
