They won't have had anyone with any technical knowledge - but they will
have had a patient who knows what %ages means and wants them retained.
We still report both old & new numbers [to keep the patients happy].

You will be surprised to see that the attached guidance from NICE refers
to HbA1c as % - viz DCCT measurement. After we have worked hard to
change to IFCC mmol/mol - amazing!
This has led to a local diabetologist requesting we revert to DCCT
reporting!
