Hello Stéphane,
Maybe you can't disclose absolute numbers, but probably it could be most
interesting for your readership to see how many "design researchers"
worldwide and renown companies hold on their employee list today.
Of course this is people that holds "Design Researcher" on their title,
still there are hundreds that their companies define as "UX Researchers".
Still, a quick search on linkedin give people who hold a current title of
design researcher
<https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/p?title=%22design%20researcher%22&openAdvancedForm=true&titleScope=C&locationType=Y&rsid=117981571411293825428&orig=MDYS>(801)
or people who had a title of design researcher in the past
<https://www.linkedin.com/vsearch/p?title=%22design%20researcher%22&openAdvancedForm=true&titleScope=PNC&locationType=Y&rsid=117981571411293843869&orig=MDYS>
no
longer current(1719).
I am afraid that linkedin search engine is a bit weak, but I guess in the
professional field is hard to search somewhere else.
Looking forward to know more about your book.
