I had my first .nhs.net account probably around the same time Adrian did however, when our practice was 'setup' the administrator tasked found my account and deleted it without discussion with anyone as far as one could find out however because it had existed I have since had a persona that lacks the dot between names. I note staff moving between practices quite commonly have similar personality change but whether that is accident or design I know not.

I think the outsourcing to CSU meant a lot of local knowledge was lost. When my practice was migrated to nhs mail last year I had to insist they didn't change [log in to unmask] to their standard configuration (I've had it for over 15 years, in fact you told me how to avoid the X500 monstrosity).
