mmm... in the android manual I read: "Editing structural data: FieldMove
Clino does not allow the user to modify existing structural
readings...". Is this a feature of all versions or only of the android
version? In any case I tried (android) and no number-pad appears.

mbt is just for apple or also for android? and creating new lines and
polygons? (I'm afraid it's just for apple...)

"it will not work" means "it will not scale" or "it will not work at all"?
anyway, it appears that if I'd like to use fieldclino to collect and
analyse data, and not primarily as a compass, I'd better buy an iPad and
a waterproof case, correct? ... or a windows tablet and use fieldmove,
but in that case the hardware will be heavier and I'll probably loose
the speech recognition...
all the best,
