Well, I am not decided on your questions. Although I am an academic, I have
no problems with including in design research more than 'only design
research done in academia'. But it seems to me that it is not the same kind
of research. To make easier the task, I would first restrict the scope to
the academia (including of course PhD candidates). But I am not sure it is
the right way. That's why I was interested in the number of subscribers
here and elsewhere, in the various existing communities, without trying to
make the difference between academia, industry or whatever.
Fyi, I got updated informations from Ken Friedman :
'The PhD-Design list has about 2,550 subscribers now.
Anthrodesign is now the largest online discussion list with 2,660
subscribers.'
