We are pleased to provide some updates regarding the 1st ICAZ Roman Period Working Group Meeting “Husbandry in the Western Roman Empire: a zooarchaeological perspective” that will take place in Sheffield (UK) the 20th-22nd November 2014. Only a few time slots remain available so, please, do not wait until the last minute to send the abstract if you want to avoid disappointment.
Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and should indicate authors’ name and affiliation. You can send the abstract to: [log in to unmask] before 15th September 2014.
To find details both of the meeting and the venue, please, visit the web page: http://alexandriaarchive.org/bonecommons/exhibits/show/rpwg
You can register online at: http://onlineshop.shef.ac.uk/browse/extra_info.asp?compid=1&modid=2&deptid=5&catid=7&prodid=265. The cost is 60GBP.
We trust that this will be a stimulating meeting, where delegates will benefit from a global discussion about husbandry practices in the late Iron Age and Roman times in the Western Roman Empire. We look forward to welcoming you at the University of Sheffield.
With best wishes,
Silvia Valenzuela and Umberto Albarella
