Dear Edoardo,
The column order is not fixed, but determined by the order of the labels
in the header. This provides flexibility in what to store in the STAR files.
I would use the linux command awk to change the order of columns, but
you could also use your favourite text editor.

Is there any procedure/trick to merge the star files? Is there a particular reason way the columns order is not always the same?
