Hello Zooarchers!
I have a complete MT3 of a canid from an epipalaeolithic site in SE Turkey. It is far too long for fox or golden jackal. We think it might be an Indian wolf (Canis lupus pallipes), but only have North American wolves from which to compare (and it is far too gracile for those). Just wondering if anyone has any available metrics for this species so that we might be able to confirm our identification. I have provided the measurements below (as per von den Driesch).
Bp: 6.80 mm
Dp: 10.81 mm
SD/B: 4.91 mm
GL: 73.52 mm
Thank you!
