Google trends is NOT to be considered a high reliability source for
accurate historical information. They obviously only can report what they
have scanned or find in their perusal of the internet. And they start at
2004. I am sorry if my note was interpreted that the Google trends service
was to be as a substitute for the existing discussion. I thought of it as a
useful supplement.
it is a valuable reference for looking at trends. So just watching the way
the term usage has changed with time is interesting. (Try your own words as
well, such as "gestaltung".
Those who wish to find the very first authoritative citation must continue
to search precisely in the way this list has been doing.
