Applications are invited for a position in Social Interaction Design at the Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark. The position is available from September 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
This position will contribute to the new interdisciplinary research initiative SDU Design in Kolding that brings together researchers from the Faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Engineering to develop new directions in the field of design. Expect to collaborate with design-anthropologists, interaction analysts, business designers, design historians, theatre actors! We build on a strong tradition of practice-based research and close collaboration with industry from the SPIRE Centre of Participatory Innovation.
The position in Social Interaction Design cements our interests in products, environments and artefacts that support, provoke and/or critique relations between people. Research areas for the positions may include tangible interaction, experience design, embodied technology, telepresence, interactive environments and urban interventions. Applicants must have a masters degree in interaction design and a PhD within the field of interaction design.
