Dear Colleagues
(Apologies for cross posting.)
Thank you for your magnificent response so far to this year's RFID survey!
So far I've received over 500 replies which, after filtering out the
duplicates and non-users, represents 366 organisations using RFID in some
way or other.
14 different countries have replied so far. UK libraries lead the way with
123 replies, followed by Australia (87), USA (57), and France (45). German,
Dutch and New Zealand libraries are also well represented.
The information you provide helps build a picture of how the technology is
developing globally and assists librarians, suppliers and those of us
working with the standards agencies in a variety of ways . For example, the
ISO working group to which I belong (TC46/SC4/WG11 - responsible for data
standards for library RFID) recently asked me to supply information on the
current level of use of UHF systems. Information that the survey helps me to
gather.
As always all replies remain confidential and no individual libraries will
be identified in the survey results which will be published in June. So if
you haven't yet completed the survey please spare 5 minutes of your time to
do so before the 25th May.
The English version of the survey can be found at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2014RFIDsurvey with a French version at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/enqueteRFID2014.
Thanks for your time!
