We are updating our 'Photography and film Permission form' for photographing children at museum events. When one of our museum or freelance photographers photographs an event, a permission form is always signed by the parent/guardian. The forms are stored in a locked cabinet and the images are stored on the museum image drive.
In the past we have always deleted the photographs of children after three years and shredded the forms. We don't delete the photographs of children where they're not identifiable (e.g. backs of heads)
I was wondering what other organisations are doing:
- do you follow any particular data protection guidelines
- do you delete the photographs?
