Hi Becky,
We are looking at just this at the moment. I don't envisage any form of middleware, unless by middleware you mean an API that has been developed by the DAMS and CMS vendors. I am aiming for our CMS to send data to the DAM and website and the DAM to receive data from the CMS, but send images to both it and the website. The website just receives data and images.
Most of this is to be done via API's the CMS and DAMS providers have created. Our own website would plugin to these APIs and have some custom programming.
I can discuss this off list if you like.
Best regards
Tony

Subject: Using Middleware with DAM
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone is using middleware to connect their Collections Management System to their DAM system? I have a couple of queries regarding the logistics of it all. Does metadata feed both ways? And how does collections on-line fit in?
Apologies to be a bit vague, please feel free to contact me on or off list,
Many thanks in advance,
Becky
