Dear Terry,
If, as Ken wonders, you are suggesting that 'mastering mathematics is a vital step for the entire design field and all design subfields', rather than just for your own areas of design specialism, I am wondering whether the simplest way to explain your proposals to those of us in Art & Design would be to use your knowledge of this field to take one or more subfield (say Fashion Design or illustration for example) and clarify exactly how and why the process of mastering mathematics would be incorporated into the curriculum and where the benefits would manifest themselves. And it would also be useful to know what should be taken out of the curriculum in order to accommodate it.
Many thanks and best wishes from Cambridge,
Martin
