Definitely no!
My understanding is that they cannot read symbols just point at them.
Kind regards

Hello everyone.
I ran a training session yesterday where one of the breakout sessions was around reading a Maths paper (some of our invigilators/readers struggle with being knowing what symbol they can/can't read).
I have now been inundated with requests from readers to confirm if they can scan through the paper before the student arrives so they know what it is they will be reading/pointing to.
I am inclined to say No, but wondered if anyone else allowed this/what your thoughts are?
Many thanks,
Lauren
