The Gallery is seeking to employ Researchers for a project to find and record information from British Sales Catalogues between the years 1680 and 1780. This is a collaborative venture between the Gallery and the Getty Research Institute.
You will locate relevant auction catalogues held in UK and continental libraries and archives; find and arrange for these to be photocopied or scanned; and then input the relevant information into the Getty Provenance Index databases.
You must have a proven ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in data entry and general project management skills.
Please note we will be considering both full-time and part-time applications.
