Many years ago when I worked at Charing Cross Hospital and was "on call". A contingent of police officers turned up with a number of "fixed" reptiles stinking of formaldehyde in plastic bags. Apparently, some of containers had slipped out of a van bound for ? the Natural History museum (educated guess) and smashed on the road. The police thought they should take them to the nearest "lab".
