And we at Burton did some progesterones for a pregnant elephant at
Twycross.
Elephants are interesting because their progesterone levels tend to be
quite low (compared with humans during pregnancy) and then they drop 5
days before birth (up to 19 nmol/L dropping to <1 nmol/l) - which allows
you to predict when to get the tug of war team ready in case of
problems.
