Dear all,
Does anyone know such pathological changes?
These sheep bones come from an early bronze-age pit filling from Lower
Austria which contained the remains of at least 12 more-or-less complete
and articulated sheep skeletons.
The scapula shows an enlarged (especially on the medial side) and deformed
Cavitas glenoidalis and there is an eye-catching ossified “groove” between
the Tuberculum majus and the Tuberculum minus at the Humerus.
I think, this might have something to do with overstraining the M. biceps
brachii but I´m not quite sure!
Thanks in advance for any comment
Herbert
